Our first Landlord Association Meeting was held on April 9th. Local property and home owners came together to discuss their concerns with the neighborhood and what can be done this summer.
A few topics of discussion were:
- Garbage left behind as the snow thawed out
- Potholes in the streets and when the City was going to fix them
- Ability to report nuisance properties and speeding cars
- The City of Milwaukee ticketing policies
The conversation was intense and suggestions were given to solve some of the problems. Yet, an individual can only do so much by themselves to affect their neighborhood. Together we can demand for the services that we deserve in the Thurston Woods Community. If you are a home or property owner in the Thurston Woods Community you are invited to our next Landlord Associations meeting. Also, the Thurston Woods Community will be holding a Block Watch Meeting on May 21st at the Agape Community Center. It will start at 6:30 pm and will include representatives from the District 4 police department.
